After Ramarni’s mother happened upon an advert on Facebook, and signed him up to his local gymnastic hall to exercise his talent recreationally at the arguably later age of 12, he immediately caught the attention of several coaches who could distinctly see his potential to perform artistic movements.
It was from this point his career in tumbling started to blossom. Since this defining moment, Ramarni has continued to impress and was notably selected for the 2020 World Age Group Championships, an accomplishment that he worked tooth and nail to achieve.
In this episode, Ramarni gives us the lowdown on his whirlwind journey from Gymnastics enthusiast to Elite World’s competitor during the testing times of a global pandemic. We delved deeper into his dreams and future aspirations of competing at a Senior World Championships, or his preparation in the event that Tumbling is eventually entered into the Olympics.
Ramarni has managed to balance his success of becoming British Champion with coaching Gymnastics to young people, and hopes to extend his love for teaching by giving back to young children across the UK through Sports For Champions’ inspirational athlete school visits.
