As most little boys, I was a big fan of muscle characters like Superman, Batman, He-Man and other comic book characters. I admired their muscle strength power and I wanted to be just like them. Like a superhero, I wanted to be strong, help others and save people’s lives. I started doing bodybuilding at the age of 15 and I haven’t stopped since. I am 35 now! My first competition was when I was 18 years old at junior championships, where I took 3rd place at the nationals after 4 years of training. The contest took place in my hometown...

Despite having spent most of his childhood and early teenage years in and out of hospital undergoing corrective procedures, Ayaz has always been a sports enthusiast and was always keen on taking part in sports. I grew up in Manchester and have always loved sports. I first realised I was good at sports when I started doing cross country for school when I was 8 years old. I won my first cross country for my primary school and continued to win until year 6. When I was 10 I started to play football and was scouted for Rochdale academy where I played as a striker for 5 years. I began training for athletics when I was 11 to keep fit for football during the summer. I realised I really enjoyed athletics so I carried on doing long jump and sprinting alongside football....
